Hello, Volunteer!

We’re calling all community-minded, art-loving, fun-seeking individuals to be part of our Annual Art Walk! This vibrant outdoor celebration of creativity and connection couldn’t happen without the dedication of our incredible volunteers.

Whether you're a seasoned event pro or looking for a first-time opportunity to give back, there's a spot for you on our team. Check out the available roles below, and sign up to be part of something special!

Volunteer Shifts

  • 6:00am-9:00am

  • 9:00am-12:00pm

  • 12:00-3:00pm

  • 3:00-6:00pm

  • 6:00pm-9:00pm

Ready to Sign Up?

There will be a mandatory volunteer orientation on July 17th, 7:30pm at our LRC location.

Volunteer Positions

We have a variety of shifts available during Set-Up, Event Time, and Teardown. You’re welcome to volunteer for one or more shifts — every bit helps!

Event Roles

    • Monitor and track the number of guests entering the event

    • Providing help where it is needed

    • Answer questions and guide visitors

    • Encourage donations at designated bins

    • Provide vendor relief (watch their booth during quick breaks)

    • Assist with general guest needs and directions

    • Monitor barricade points to ensure no unauthorized access

    • Inform passersby that the road is closed

    • Direct guests to the main entrance

    • Help keep the space tidy throughout the event

    • Gloves and grabbers provided — stay eco-heroic!

  • Help run specific creative activities in our Activity Center.

    • Paint simple face designs for attendees (templates and examples can be provided)

    • Interact kindly and patiently with children and families

    Skills Needed:

    • A steady hand and basic artistic ability

    • Friendly and outgoing personality

    • Experience with face painting is a plus, but not required.

Set-up roles

    • Emptying Trailer and Material Distribution:  Emptying trailer and moving materials to where they are needed.

    • Activity Centre Tent Set up: Setting up tents in the activity centre 

    • Table Distribution:  Moving tables to their zones

  • Providing help where it is needed

    • Set up barricades to close off event areas

    • Open/close barricades for vendor vehicles during setup

    • Inform the public that the street is closed for the Art Walk

Tear-Down Roles

    • Collect and pack up remaining items

    • Help ensure the street is clear and tidy

    • Continue monitoring barricades

    • Help take them down when event wraps up

    • Assist with loading heavy items into trailers

    • Move equipment to designated storage locations
